Split

Challenge

Split was in need of a total branding package from the ground up to cater to commuters in Washington, DC. They needed to be able to compete in an ocean full of rideshare services such as Uber, Lyft, and Sidecar.

The Gigawatt Group’s talented team of brand strategists and designers handled the brand positioning, messaging and graphics, but it was up to me to create the best responsive user experience for their website.

Solution

I took a clean and simple approach to the website that compliments the character & environmental illustrations created by Gigawatt’s design team and displays the coverage area of Split’s rideshare service in the DC area.

With their plans to house a blog and offer career opportunities through the site, I worked with a Drupal developer to convert my responsive front-end HTML build of the Split website to fit his backend work within the CMS.

Challenge

By 2015, LicenseLogix had grown to be one of the most trusted business licensing and compliance companies in the United States over the past few years. With the amount of success and the relocation to a newer (and larger office), they felt as if a rebranding of their website and adjustments to their brand messaging was in order.

Emphasizing that their services were not only limited to large enterprises, but for small business owners as well, was LicenseLogix’s primary request. It was also important that their potential clients felt as though they would have a lot less paperwork to deal with because they would handle it all for them.

Solution

With the brand positioning and messaging upgrades done by The Gigawatt Group, I took creative license in designing a modern new homepage with .NET based Orchard CMS that provides two entryways to separate portals designated for small businesses and large enterprises. This provides an easy way for visitors to find information on services catered to their business size.

The flyout box in the header gives a brief description of their licensing services and provides a quick link to get more information about the service. The database containing their extensive business licensing information was integrated into the new site with a bit of re-organization on the backend for ease of searching.

MetroIPC

Challenge

In 2015, Metro Immediate and Primary Care rapidly gained popularity as the go-to clinic for millennials in the Washington, DC Metro area. After becoming a part of the GW Medical Facilities network, they decided it was time to upgrade their online presence to appeal to prospective patients.

Two important things that MetroIPC wanted their new website to do was to provide an easy way for their patients to book appointments online with their mobile phones and to increase awareness their metro accessibility.

Solution

I used imagery of Washington DC’s metro system to emphasize their proximity to the metro. Increasing the presence of their brown metallic color in their brand color palette also helped to enhance the metro feel.

MetroIPC’s new Book An Appointment box is front and center when the website loads on all devices to make appointment booking easy. Other online services are also easily accessible on the homepage (online payments, access to medical records , etc.) to ensure that MetroIPC’s patients can get to what they need without having to extensively search the site.
